Best Friend Give-away, enter now! Christmas in July!!

I like to have a Christmas in July give-away....or two, so stay tuned for more. One of my favorite give-aways is my Best Friend gift. You enter...and I send a present to your best friend! Don't you simply love that idea? When you enter you simply leave a comment and don't give me your friend's name. The winner will do that in a private email. Unless you want to tell the world who your best friend is (some have more than one!) and then you can put the name.

So....for the present...lets see......I know I have lots of goodies around here! Maybe you could tell me your best friend's favorite colors. And if they like to stitch Quaker patterns or regular samplers, Christmas patterns, etc. And if they like finishing trims or just floss. I can pick a nice selection but it would be nicer to send exactly what they like.

RULES: You must be a follower. Click to follow by Faithful Friends. A few know how to enter by sending me an email if they have trouble following. YOU MUST post a comment here. Post on your blog , Facebook or stitching group and get 100 more entries! I like to have a lot of followers have a chance to win.
Drawing to be July 30th. Good luck to all who enter!

The Woodland Collection floss give-away, enter now!

I always have fun putting together new collections because I know I am going to give one away! This set of Wild Strawberries, Blueberries, Elderberries, Wild Grapevines, Hickory Nuts, Wild Acorns, Wild Honey, Wild Grapevines....etc.......was fun to dye and fun to put a collection together. LOTS of variegation in half of these colors. Like the shading in the wild grapevines in the woods, all different shades on the vines. And the same with wild berries as they start to ripen. Many different shades in one bunch.
Primitive and any other type of will love this set.
All boxes have 12 skeins, 20 yards each.

Rules are always the same. You must be a follower at the right. Click to follow by Faithful Friends. You must post a comment here. If you are unable to post then send me an email and I will enter you.
*****The best on you Facebook, stitching group or blog and get 100 extra entries! Yes I do check! lol
Drawing to be July 14th.

With this set I will give 3 extra skeins as a gift for the give-away. AND.....the first 10 sets sold get Elderberry, Mixed Berries and Wild Blueberry. 60 extra yards! Those are the three skeins shown at the right in the picture.
The next 20 boxes sold get 2 of those free skeins and the next 20 boxes get one free skein.
These will be available on Wednesday and I am already taking orders. These limited editions go quickly. They are $24.99 plus postage.
Good luck to all of you. Thank you very much for entering. The longer you know me the more you will know that I truly love to share.

Woodland Floss Collection, wild berries, nuts and vines

I was dyeing some of the small lots of floss this week and decided to do a woodland theme....some wild berries, nuts and vines. I took some variegated floss and over dyed it with a completely different color...I think you will love the variegation in these as it looks like the variegation in berries and vines. I hope to be able to take some photos this afternoon after the dark clouds move out as it rained a while ago.

I always do a little research on wildflowers or anything like that for my collections. After all.....wild and crazy names aren't for my floss. If you have noticed I try to describe what the color is. Not just an exotic made up name. Lets have the name fit the color!

I dyed some wild raspberries, blueberries, grapes and grape vines, chestnuts, acorns, etc. I think you will like this collection. Primitive if you use them for primitive stitching or just use them for other berry and vine motifs.

Of course I will give a set away....don't I love to share with all of you? So stay tuned. I will gather the floss and hopefully be able to take a few pictures this afternoon. You don't want to miss out on this lovely collection. Limited edition as usual.

Thanks for stopping by. Talk to you later!

Keeping very busy with floss

I am always busy....always. Too busy. But it seems like there is always another frame to carve for a customer or another floss color I want to dye. I was going through the boxes (mountain) of floss cones that I have yesterday. My goodness. I think it will take me a year to dye all of this floss. No kidding. I have so many limited edition boxed sets that I want to do this summer alone. I keep getting ideas for new sets and then hit the dye pot. I will start showing some of those colors in a week or so. I am currently swamped with motto kit and frame orders this week. I keep saying I am going to quit carving frames but I have so many regular customers that have bought from me over the past 11 years and I just can't say no! I did quit stitching mottoes by request as these arthritic hands said no more. I stitched over 500 mottoes in 11 years!

Be sure you have entered the current give-aways still going. The Favorite Red Roses will be drawn on the 21st, the complete Primitive set on the 30th and on the 4th of July we will have a winner for the Star Spangled Banner floss set. Scroll back to previous posts to enter for each of those. And make sure you have sent me your month and birthdate for the Birthday Club. On the 1st of each month I draw a name for a nice present. Floss of course!

I still have a couple of the Cottage Garden, Picket Fence, Red Roses and Sleepy Hollow Collections if you are interested. Some have free skeins with them. Others have adorable charms included with them. I always like to give a little extra with a purchase to make it fun. Speaking of fun.....

I bought some adorable reindeer charms to go with the next Christmas Floss that I dye. Maybe if I find some free time (????!) I can do a small chart to go with the reindeer. Just a thought. I just about gave up sleep years ago to keep up with all of this so I am not sure where I will find some extra time. I need to add about 4 hours onto each day and then maybe...just maybe...I could get everything done on my daily list. Trims....necessaires.....floss and linen to stay tuned.

And for those of you lucky enough to be celebrating Father's Day today, I hope you have a wonderful day. Thanks for stopping by.
